Military Discounts For National Parks

Updated: Feb 9, 2022

Current U.S. military members and their dependents, U.S. military veterans, and Gold Star families are able to visit National Parks and more than 2000 federal recreation sites across the country for free. This includes sites that charge fees and are managed by the following:

  • Bureau of Land Management (BLM)

  • Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation)

  • Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS)

  • USDA Forest Service (USDA FS)

  • National Park Service (NPS)

  • US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

The Interagency Military Pass covers free entrance for the card holder and everyone in their vehicle, or up to four adults when charged per person. This pass must be renewed annually by current U.S. military members, and can be obtained at any National Park for free, or through the USGS store for a $10 processing fee, and documentation is required. U.S. military veterans and Gold Star families are now qualified for lifetime Interagency Passes.
